Togepi, Togetic, Togekiss

So I finished the togepi family awhile ago. My first question: What the fuck are these things? Especially togetic. But I learned from Bulbapedia that togetic's name in Japan is actually "togechic," so I'm all like, "Oh, they're birds!" Togepi is in an egg, after all. And he's roughly the same color as a chick. And he does kind of make a chirping noise in the anime. So alright, he's a chick. Togetic, though, doesn't really look like anything real. I decided to make those two somewhat reptilian, because that's not too far off from being birds. I added feathers to togetic as kind of a transition into togekiss, and I really didn't want to give him reptile wings anyway. I decided to keep togepi's egg patterning on the other two just to keep things interesting and consistent. Looking at togekiss, I figured he could either be a bird or a fat, round flying fluffy mammal of some kind. So making it a bird was an obvious choice. Also I think it's weird they don't have any beaks.  That's probably one of the reasons they don't look that much like birds.

Togepi's always been one of Pokemon's cutest pokemon. Everyone loves imitating his chirping noises and stuff. So I made him....less so. I wanted to make him look like something you wouldn't want to pet. I think the whole family is supposed to be pretty cute, togekiss is even named togekiss after all. Anyway I gave them all the same face (again, for consistency) and made them look fucking demonic. Just look at the contrast between the smiling faces of the originals and the hissing, threatening faces of the ones I made. It's kinda funny.
